Merry Christmas Cookie Baking!

Merry Christmas! Well, Christmas day has come and gone but we continue to celebrate Christmas many days after the actual day, as it was intended. I wanted to post some pictures of the kids baking cookies a while ago and never got around to it. Jazzercising and bon bon eating keeps me quite busy. So here you go! Make sure you look carefully at the pan of frosted and decorated cookies for a couple of knives for Grandpa Johnson and a race car all made by Evan. And of course a couple of frosted Faith cookies...

Christmas Craziness

Did you hear the story??? I know it's not as profound as the story on Hillary Clinton's new position but noteworthy still (that was sarcasm people!) I'm referring to the story about the poor man who was trampled to death at a Walmart during the crazy early, early morning special shopping. For me this was just another piece of evidence of how much we DON'T value other human lives. I am appalled at the fact that even after people saw the poor Human Being being trampled on the ground they continued their fight toward that perfect Christmas gift. What is wrong with us!?!? And to top it all off, after the man had died, the people refused to leave the store. For goodness sakes they'd been there for 4 hours waiting and they were going to do what they came there for regardless whether someone had been killed by the mania or not. I have no words for this. Is this what Christmas is about? The fact that the people who killed this man were shopping for CHRISTMAS gifts just makes me crazy. No, Christmas is about the birth of a baby who happens to be our Creator and who grows up to be a man who sacrifices his very body for us. For US..... his creations who trample and kill each other over gifts meant to celebrate His birthday. Make sense people? I think not.

"Beloved, let us love one another, because love is of God; everyone who loves is begotten by God and knows God. Whoever is without love does not know God, for God is love. In this way the love of God was revealed to us: God sent his only Son into the world so that we might have life through him. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also must love one another" 1 John: 4

"The author of life you put to death, but God raised him from the dead; of this we are witnesses. Now I know, brothers, that you acted out of ignorance, just as your leaders did; but God has thus brought to fulfillment what he had announced beforehand through the mouth of all the prophets that his Messiah would suffer. Repent, therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be wiped away..." Acts:3

"As I have loved you, so you also should love one another" John: 13:34
